- 2005 NSC plan announced

NSA has just announced that the National Scrabble Championship event will become an annual event starting this year. The initial detail stated that it will be in either Las Vegas or Reno around August.

- Word Wars (the documentary) on CBC News World

Word Wars, the documentary about competitive Scrabble, will be aired on CBC News World channel on December 5th and 10th @ 7pm and 10pm PST (10pm and 1am EST).

- 2005 Seattle Memorial Day tournament

Seattle Scrabble Club has just announced the information on their next tournament. With the new downtown location, the participants limit is up from this year's 60 to 100!

Helen finished the tournament with 17-13 -107 record and placed 50th among 169 players in Division 3. Helen's new rating is expected to be over 1400! Congratulations Helen!

After 23 games, Helen is now at 62nd place with 13-10 -128 record with 7 games left to be played tomorrow in the final leg of the NSC.

- Vancouver, BC tournament results

On behalf of the Victoria Scrabble® Club, we would like to thank and congratulate Judy McLean and every participant who made this year's Vancouver, BC tournament possible. We hope to attend your great tournament again in the near future!

Congratulations to Helen Douglas and Susan Wignall for finishing 2nd and 4th respectively in the Division 3. Also, a special congratulation to Pat Potter for finishing 9th out of 35 in the Division 4 with the amazing 9-5 -287 result. Good job everyone!

- Don's great results from Reno!

Congratulations to Don Malcolm for finishing first in the Early Bird round of the 2004 MLK Reno tournament with 6-2 +21 record. With a 11-8 +238  record in the main event, he finished 14th out of 46 in the second division. Way to go Don!
